It has a melting point of 300°C (decomposition) and an ignition temperature of 250°C. It is insoluble in ethanol but soluble in #sodium hydroxide solution.

Note that in case of fire, dry sand should be used to extinguish the fire, instead of foam fire extinguishers and dry powder fire extinguishers.
